yikes its a monster angle 2 w.jpg

The Halloween fun continues at All Dressed Up with this cute newbie called ‘Monsterific’. Isn’t it sweet!!! I decided to steer away from traditional Halloween tones for this project. Here are the colours I used:

Green: YG99, YG09, YG05, YG02, Y02

Yellow: E57, YR68, YR15, Y17, Y15, Y02

The black die cut in the background is a custom shape that I designed and then cut on my Cricut. Send me an email if you would like the svg file to use for yourself.

I’m all about height and texture so I created an accordion fold using some scrap paper to pop behind my sentiment. Such an easy way to add some interest.

Be sure to have a look at the All Dressed Up Etsy store as there are a whole heap of new digis being released today. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you all make with these newbies.

Thank You

Happy October🙂

Voodoo Doll

I am very excited to announce my placement on the Karleigh Sue design team. I just love Cheri’s designs so much and can’t wait to see what brilliant newbies she launches over the next few months.

I decided to use the totally rad ‘Voodoo Doll’ for my introductory piece. She was screaming out for some colour and a mystical background. SO. MUCH. FUN!!!!!!

Here are the Copic colours I used:

Skin: E37, E35, E31, E30, E000,RV02, Y00, BV00, White Posca Pen

Outfit: YG99, YG09, YG07, YG05, Y02, YG01, Y00

Hair/Dreadlocks: 100, V09, V06, V04, V000

Lips: RV29, RV25

Eyes: YG97, YG67, YG05, Y02, Y00

Fire: R35, YR18, YR16, Y38, Y06

Skull: W4, W2, W00

Feather (pink): RV29, RV14, RV11

Feather (aqua): BG49, BG45, BG11

Wood: E29, E25, E23, E21

Rocks: T9, W8, W6, W4, W1, Y11

Sky/Smoke: 100, T9, T8, T7, T6, T4, T2, Y11, White Posca Pen

With so much going on with the image and background, I kept the card design pretty simple. Just some white and yellow cardstock and a strip of hessian. I always use a lot of foam tape to make my cards 3D. I just think that it makes everything ‘pop’ that bit more.

Anyways, thanks for checking out my latest Karleigh Sue design. I’ll be posting a gorgeous new release mid month.

Boo I Can See You

boo i can see you angle 1 w.jpg

Hello! Today we are kicking off the Halloween/Autumn challenge over at All Dressed Up. I decided to play with this cute digi called ‘Boo I Can See You’. Isn’t it awesome. The image is quite simple so I was able to play with a bright background and a few little extras like my hand drawn tree and bats. Spooooooky!!

Click here to purchase the digital stamp.

boo i can see you preview.jpg

As you can see, when you purchase the stamp, you get a few different versions. You get the cute girl with the cat in the Jack O Lantern but you also get the two images separately which is super cool. I decided to focus on the Cat Jack O Lantern this time around. It is always good to have some gender neutral cards.

Here are my Copic colour combos…..

Sky: Y13, YR00, YR02, V01, V05, V06, V17, V09, V99

Tree And Bats: Black and White Posca Pens

Ground: 100, T7, T5, T3, T1, T0, Y00

Cat: T4, T2, T0, Y00

Pumpkin: R35, YR18, YR16, Y38, Y35, Y02.

boo-i-can-see-you-close-wI used my white Posca Pen to outline everything in this project. I feel it really helped to make it ‘pop’ and it fit the eerie Halloween theme.

I really hope you like this fun project and hope to see your Halloween/Autumn projects in the challenge.
