Autumn Rose Dragonfly Fae

Here is the super gorgeous ‘Autumn Rose Dragonfly Fae’ by Faery Ink. I just love her. She demanded to be coloured bright. Here are the copics I used for this effect.

Eyes: G99, G94, G82

Skin: E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, R22, R20

Lips: R59, R37

Wings: 100, T6, G29, G19, YG07, YG05, Y06, White paint pen

Water: 100, B39, B06, B04, B02, Boo

Flower: YR09, YR04, Yo6

Hair: E49, R59, E17, E04, E00

The background was done with Schminke Watercolours. It was actually an experiment that went wrong for another project. I kept it though and like how it worked with this image. They are the best water colours I have ever used. They are so highly pigmented. So fun to play with!!

Hipster Dude

So here is ‘Hipster Dude’! The first digital stamp I have ever released. You can find him for purchase at my new Etsy store for just AUD $3 . Click here .

This dude is inspired by my husband Shannon. For years he sported a rather ridiculous moustache! He has never had a beard quite as crazy as the one. It’s just me using my creative licence freely!! Anyway, I hope you like it. There are not many digital stamps around for men so I hope this image makes it into your collection. I can’t wait to see how you all choose to use it!

I coloured him up this time with Copics. Here are my colours:

Skin: E30, E31, E33, E35

Hair: YR21, YR24, E44, E47

Green Background: G40, YG11, G82, G94, G99

Maroon Background: E31, E33, E34, E35, E08, R59, Wink Of Stella pens in red, gold and bronze.

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope to have some more digital images for sale in the new Etsy store over the coming weeks so please keep your eye out for them! If you have any suggestions for images that you would like to see, please let me know as I am looking to draw things that are in demand!!

Fruity Babies Watermelon

Feeling fruity? We certainly are at Scrappers Delight this Thrifty Thursday. Pick up this gorgeous Fruit Baby Watermelon as well as other cuties for just $1. Click here to purchase.

I have coloured her up with Prismacolor pencils and the background is Schminke Watercolour. Pencils are great to work with as you can take them anywhere. I do find it takes longer to colour with pencils though with all of the layers and blending needed to achieve a smooth effect.

I coloured over the sentiment with the ‘old photo’ distress ink to rough it up a bit and match it to the tones of the image.

Happy Thrifty Thursday!!

Flower Stem:  G28, YG09, YG05, YG01

Flower centre: Yr15, Y08, Y13

Flower petals: RV29, RV25, RV23, RV11

Jungle Jane would work really well with the March Kit and Clowder jungle themed background for any of you out there who are subscribed to the ‘Create & Learn’ classes. Here is my completed class. Don’t you think this background would be cool with Jungle Jane 1!

I had some fun weaving green paper for the background this time. I started by putting removable glue on one end of the the horizontal stripes. Next, I added the vertical pieces, weaving them over and under as I went. I used a bit of glossy accents to glue the outer pieces of paper and it was done. I think its a fun way to add texture to your cards so why not give it a try!
